The flash lamp emits a beam of light absorbed by the brown pigment (melanin) of the hair shaft and its root. This beam of light is transformed into heat, resulting in the destruction of approximately 20%(3) bulbs. Several sessions are therefore necessary to destroy all the hair on the treated area.
